About Wolf Rock VA
Hi there, my name is Rebecca, but people call me Becks. I am a UK-based small business owner, living with my family in my home-county, Cornwall. I am a proud Cornish woman – I literally have the sea and sand running through my veins - I am deeply passionate about where I live and the lifestyle and opportunities it offers my family.
I have a husband who is a headteacher and I’m mum to two wonderfully active, sporty children and a crazy Springer Spaniel named Dexter! For my entire adult life, I have worked in the education sector: I started off as a primary school teacher and private tutor and then, after having my own children, returned to work firstly as a childminder (a business I ran for several years), before returning to a school-setting as a Teaching Assistant. More recently I have been an Early Years Practitioner.
I came to realize recently that, although I love working with children, I also really feel the time is right to pursue a passion of my own through my own business. It may sound strange to many, but I love paperwork, whether it’s organising my family’s calendar, meticulously checking bills, letters and emails or organising data. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and love to make sure everything is just as it should be!
And so ... I am now the founder of Wolf Rock Virtual Assistance!
After the whirlwind that was the Covid Years, I came to realise you should do what makes you happy in life and so I decided to use the skills and knowledge I have gained from my ‘other life’ and use them to help small businesses, particularly coaches, mentors and professionals in the education sector grow their business.
What’s Behind the name? My Core Values
Just off the coast of Cornwall, is a Lighthouse built on a single rock, ‘The Wolf Rock’. It steers boats and ships from the treacherous rocks around the Cornish coast. To me it’s not only a guiding light but a symbol of true strength and determination. Our Cornish ancestors built something so strong and tough, that can weather any storm, and that ultimately steers people away from adversity - this is what my business will do for you!
